Pixel Gun 2 Release Date: What Actually Happened
Pixel Gun 2 launched globally on Android and iOS on September 7, 2026 — about 12 days later than the originally planned August 26 date. Notably, the Steam/PC version did not launch alongside mobile as originally planned; it still shows as "coming soon." Here's exactly what shipped, what changed from the original plan, and where things stand now.
When did Pixel Gun 2 come out?
September 7, 2026, globally on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The original plan called for a simultaneous Android, iOS, and Steam launch on August 26 — that slipped about 12 days for mobile, and Steam has still not shipped at all as of this update. One source also indicates a limited regional soft-launch ran for roughly two months before the September 7 global rollout.

Is Pixel Gun 2 available on PC?
Not yet. Despite the original "Android, iOS, and Steam" simultaneous-launch plan, Steam (app ID 3456950) still lists Pixel Gun 2 as "coming soon" with no confirmed date — one source vaguely cites Q3 2026. Only a free Steam demo is currently live. The launch effectively became mobile-first, with PC to follow.
Will Pixel Gun 2 have cross-platform play?
Cross-progression between mobile and the eventual Steam version has been promised, but since PC hasn't shipped yet, this remains unconfirmed in practice. We'll update this section the moment Steam launches.
What shipped at launch
Global launch on September 7 came with Season 1 and its first Pixel Pass, a new exclusive hero (Dr Pip), the Pool map, and 7 new weapons. A post-launch update has since added the hero Hatred, the Sky Islands map, Squad Mode, Bounty Hunt, 4 more weapons, and 4 ability cards — see our news page for the full rundown.
